North Mayor Patty Carson has been selected to participate in the 2018 Charleston Air Force Base Honorary Commanders program. The goal of the program is to craft and strengthen professional relationships between military and civilian leaders.

Participants will be actively engaged with a military command partner to tour Air Force bases in the United States, engage in orientation flights and educational and promotional ceremonies.

Members of the program, past and present, include the Palmetto Warrior Connection, Volvo Car Group USA, Chernoff Newman, Wells Fargo and the S.C. Ports Authority.

Carson said she is “honored to be a participant in this unique program to foster goodwill, understanding and support of the Joint Base Charleston Air Base and Weapons Station.”
