The Veterans Memorial Park is the brainchild of Mayor Patty Carson to turn a barren parcel of land into a respectful place of honor. Located behind the North Town Hall, Mayor Carson worked with County Councilmember Heyward Livingston to design the project. Funding for the project is through a PARD grant which Carson received and additional funding from Councilmember Livingston. The park is planned as a quiet, serene and respectful tribute to all branches of our armed services. Carson selected Patrick Livingston of the LandPlan Group as the landscape architect. Patrick is the son of Nancy & Theron Livingston, and a native of North. The park will contain a monument for all branches of service, engraved pavers, park benches and trees. A dedication ceremony is planned for November, 2019.
