The "first annual North Edisto RiverFest" festival was held Saturday, September 21, 2019.  The festivities began with a fish fry fundraiser on Friday evening.  Saturday started with a parade with Grand Marshal Lt. Danny Brown from Richland County police department and Live PD.  A fishing tournament was also held Saturday morning with a weigh-in later that afternoon.  A pageant was held earlier in the month and the Queens are pictured with Mayor Patty Carson. The day’s activities included live entertainment under the town pavilion, a catfish stew cook-off, craft and food vendors and the evening ended with a tremendous fireworks display.
