Eli Jeffcoat, 7, served as honorary mayor during North Town Council’s October, 2018, meeting. Mayor Patty Carson introduced Jeffcoat as a home-schooled student who had been learning about municipal government and hoped to visit the Statehouse in Columbia to see how state government works as well.
