Mayor Julius Jones graduated North High School and received degrees from Claflin University and South Carolina State University. He is a retired employee of South Carolina state government. He is the liason for county and state relationships for the town. He is a graduate of the MASC Elected Officials Institute of Government. Julius is to be working on the installation of new streets signs in North and grant funding for a generator at the well.
